I got a chance to play the game through steam! The game is shaping up to be great in my opinion! I kept accidentally putting away key items, which had me worried haha!  Great work so far ya'll!  Made a vid.

Thank you for playing and uploading the video! :)

Really good demo! I really liked the environment and the use of the lighter and camera. Its a small nitpick but it may help feel more natural if the lighter and camera buttons were switched since they appear on opposite sides of the screen. Also, when looking for the dead bodies in the freezer section maybe a little green light to show us which is occupied?(Opening all of them is not that fun since you can't between them) The camera flash is a bit too fast, if you could make it slower or at least have the flash fade a bit slower for us to be able to see what is in front of us. Lastly, the beginning part is a bit slow. If you could add some small jump-scares/hallucinations that would hook people to keep watching/playing a bit more. I had fun playing it and I hope to see the full release in the future!

Hi Berry, thank you for playing! We appreciate the valuable feedback and glad you had fun!

We didn't think about switching 1/2 keys, that's indeed more appropriate key bindings (although you can self-bind them in the settings menu), we will consider this into upcoming updates.

Regarding the freezers, we don't expect players to open each and every one of them, the journal notes tell you exactly which one should be occupied, we did an awful job of explaining the importance of reading through the journal notes, and it's already fixed and will be better explained in the upcoming update 3 days away.

We took notes of the rest of your feedback, thank you for taking the time to play. :)

I recently came across this game and it looked promissing, so I had to try it!

Dark Fracture offers a mix of puzzles, an insanity meter and limited resources to help you through the nightmare!

For a demo, the game already has quite a lot to offer; great atmosphere, interesting concept and mechanics, nice voice acting...

The only issue in my opinion, is how dark the game is. Even with increased brightness, sometimes it is very hard to navigate (as your light sources have limits to them), which was a bit annoying and frustrating..

Other than that, definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of horror games!

I also played the game for my channel, feel free to have a look!

Thank you for playing and the valuable feedback, glad you enjoyed the game. We already took note of the darkness in the game and made it easier to handle through several aspects, new update will be available in matter of days :)

Honestly loved it. The only thing I'd consider changing is the blood trail, because it seems to lead to every room in the complex, but that's not a huge deal. Good luck with the final project!

Thank for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

We noted the trails matter and it will be adjusted in the coming update a week or two away.

This is, by far, the best AAA horror game I have seen to date!!! It surpasses Resident Evil by far and is definitely a must-play for anyone who loves the horror genre and loves a well-polished game!! 10/10

Thank you so much!

It’s been awhile since I’ve played a game as scary as Dark Fracture. There is a subtlety as you’re introduced to the main character and story; things feel “off”, but you can’t put your finger on it.

But as that tension builds, events occur, not only more frequently, but are much more intense and in-your-face. Visually stunning, my favorite parts of the experience required me to rely on very little light and, worse yet, actually become tentative to use my light sources at all, simply because I wasn’t so sure if I actually wanted to see what was in front of me.

I can’t wait to see how the finished product turns out!

Gave it a go...

Thank you for playing, we think you played the earlier playtesters version rather than the newer demo we just released, there's plenty of updates that weren't displayed in your video, and most of the bugs you spoke about already got fixed, regardless, glad you had fun!

Really great game, loved it full and the experience was great.  Can't wait to play this and do a series. Keep it up and I hope my video helps more people see your game

Your demo for Dark Fracture was good. I really liked the environment and the responsive movement that immersed me. My gripe is how long it takes to push continue after picking up an item and my problem is how game breaking the bugs are. I had to restart around 5 times because an unmovable object would block a door or a different item wouldn't move. Other than that it was great.

Thank you for playing, great video. We took note of all your feedback and will improve based on it. Do you mind giving us more info regarding which objects you had the issues with so we can fix it? Was it always the trolleys blocking the way?

The trolleys are scripted at certain points to move, but If I'm in their path they get pushed to the door and get stuck there. The second trolley in the freezer room was stuck the first time around. The valve got frozen on the wall and the little menu to turn the valve was stuck on the screen. Those are the game breaking bugs I experienced.

(1 edit)

Thank you for the info!

We will fix the trolleys issue in our next update, sorry for the inconvenience that caused while you played.

The second trolley issue in the freezers room wasn't actually a bug, you entered, didn't use a lighter and due to the darkness accidentally tried to force open the freezers several times, which lead the story into you deciding not to care to carry the trolleys out of the room, and that task has ended due to it, regardless, that shouldn't happen and we will make it easier for players to find the light switch and not hit the freezers when they enter the room.

We didn't find any case of the valve getting stuck in your video (or maybe just missed it, will look again), we assume you edited it out of the video, but we will investigate into the issue.

Thanks again.

The valve menu gets stuck on screen around 36:22 and it locks me from clicking on the valve to spin it.

Honestly for an indie game I really enjoyed it.

Pros
> It was actually scary. The suspense led you up to a legit jumpscare. Not some png image flying into your face like mos indie games

> It's graphics and textures went above and beyond.

> The motion blur when you turn makes the game more immerssive and requires you to turn slower for you can observe your surroundings during suspensful moments

Cons

> Why is A15 upside down you troll XDDD

thats it

Cant wait to sign up for next months patreon :))
